Stella Fence Pro — Parcel Letterbox Installation Guide
Follow this step-by-step guide to install your Stella Pro Parcel Letterbox securely into a fence or brick wall.
What's in the Box
- Upper Box
- Lower Box
- Rear Cover Bracket
- Mounting Bracket (attached inside the letterbox)
- Accessories Bag
Choosing the Right Location
The Stella Pro can be installed into either a timber/PVC fence or built into a brick or block wall. Choose a location that’s easy for couriers and Australia Post to access.
Recommended mail slot height: 900 mm–1200 mm above ground level.
Installing into a Timber or PVC Fence
Tools Required: Drill with timber drill bit, Jigsaw, Tape measure, Pencil, Spirit level.
Step 1 – Separate Upper and Lower Boxes
- Unscrew the six external bolts connecting the upper and lower boxes using the supplied Allen key.
- Open the parcel door, then the rear door, and remove the two internal bolts.
- Tip: Two people are recommended for this step.
Step 2 – Mark the Fence Opening
Have one person hold the upper box in position while the other uses a spirit level and pencil to trace around the box perimeter.
Step 3 – Cut Out the Opening
Cut along the pencil line with a jigsaw to create the opening in the fence.
Safety Tip: Always wear safety goggles.
Step 4 – Fit the Upper Box
Remove the rear cover and insert the upper box fully through the fence cut-out.
Step 5 – Secure the Upper Box
Open the parcel door and fix the upper box to the fence using the provided screws.
Recommended screw order:
- Top flange
- Left flange
- Right flange
Then install the remaining screws for added stability.
Step 6 – Attach the Rear Cover
With the parcel door open, slide the rear cover plate into place from the back of the letterbox and align it with the fence.
Secure the cover by fastening screws into the fence (do not drill into the letterbox itself to avoid damaging the powder-coated finish).
Step 7 – Install the Lower Box
Keep the parcel door open. Have one person slide the lower box into the base of the upper box while the second person aligns and tightens the six mounting bolts (four external and two internal).
Step 8 – Attach the Mounting Bracket
Open the rear door and loosen the bracket bolts slightly. Slide the mounting bracket forward until it rests firmly against the fence, then tighten all bolts securely.
Step 9 – Fix the Mounting Bracket to the Fence
Secure the mounting bracket firmly to the fence using the provided screws.
Brick Wall Installation
Step 1 – Prepare
Open the rear door and remove the bottom mounting bracket.
Step 2 – Position the Letterbox
Build the brickwork up to the desired level, then place the letterbox into position.
- Plain brick walls: Front flanges should sit flush with the wall surface.
- Rendered walls: Set the back box slightly forward so the front panel sits flush with the finished surface.
Step 3 – Continue Brickwork
Build the brickwork up to the underside of the lower box.
Step 4 – Finish
Complete the remaining brickwork around the letterbox. Clean or render as required.
Note: Cut the bricks under the front parcel door so they clear the angled section of the body.
