A custom address sign that lights itself. No wiring, no power point, no electrician — it charges from daylight and lights up at night.

How it works

The solar panel is built into the face of the sign. Through the day it charges an internal battery. At dusk, a white panel behind the face lights up, and your street number and street name — cut right through the front layer — glow clearly from the street.

Needs direct sunlight

This sign charges from daylight on its solar panel and needs 5–8 hours of direct sun a day to light through the night. It isn't suited to a shaded wall, a deep eave, or a spot under trees. Please check your position before ordering.

What you choose

• Base colour — matte black or matte grey
• Lettering — white, illuminated
• Cut — in-depth: your address is cut through the front layer so the lit panel shows through
• Corners — square
• Mounting — commercial-grade double-sided tape, or invisible standoffs (sold separately)

The panel that lights up is white, so the lettering is white — that is what glows. Coloured or mirrored lettering would block the light rather than carry it, which is why the solar range doesn't offer them. Our non-lit acrylic and stainless signs do.

Warranty

Backed by a 3-year structural warranty on the sign, and a 2-year warranty on the solar panel, battery, LED and control board.

A gradual reduction in nightly run time is normal battery ageing and isn't a fault. Underperformance caused by a shaded installation isn't covered — please check your position gets 5–8 hours of direct sun before you order.

FAQs

Does it need to be wired in?

No. There is no cable and no power point required. The sign is completely self-contained.

Why is the lettering only available in white?

Because the lettering is the light. The panel behind the face glows white, and your address is cut through the front layer so that light comes through. A coloured or mirrored letter would block it.

Can I have raised lettering like your other signs?

Not on the solar range. Raised letters sit on top of the face and would block the light instead of carrying it. If you want raised lettering, our non-lit acrylic signs offer it.

How long does it stay lit?

8–12 hours from a full charge. A full charge takes 6–8 hours of direct sun, so run time varies with the season and with how much sun your wall actually gets.

Will it work on a shaded wall?

No. It needs 5–8 hours of direct daily sunlight on the panel. If your position is shaded, one of our non-lit acrylic or stainless signs will serve you better.
