I chose the Nest mainly for its looks—it’s much more stylish than the larger options. However, I didn’t initially consider how much heat the darker colors could retain. During installation, I realized it could get quite hot, so I added insulation inside to address the issue.
One thing to think about is the method for receiving packages. The larger models are more efficient and can hold more packages, but I was fine with the trade-off because, as I mentioned, this one looks better to me.
Although it only came with a central bolt for securing it, I added four additional bolts to make it more stable.
For convenience, I installed a vibration sensor in the package chute, which connects to my smart home system. Now, I get instant notifications when a package is delivered, so I can grab it right away.
Overall, I’m really happy with my choice. It looks great at the front of my property and works perfectly for my needs.
