Looking to upgrade your letterbox to keyless access? 🔐 Some of our models, such as the Nest Parcel Letterbox, allow you to swap the standard key lock for a combination lock. This gives you secure, key-free convenience — but in certain cases, like the Nest’s rear access door, you’ll need to adjust the opening direction of the lock so it works correctly.

To make this simple, we’ve put together a short video showing how to change the direction of the combination lock.

What this guide covers

This guide focuses only on changing the direction of the combination lock — not the full installation into your letterbox. Installation itself is straightforward (same fitting as the key lock), but if you’d prefer us to do the complete swap, you can book our replacement service.

Follow along to see exactly how to configure your combination lock so it opens the opposite way.

Final tip

Once the direction is set, test the lock a few times with the door closed to make sure it’s smooth and secure. After that, you’re ready to enjoy keyless access to your Nest letterbox.
