Custom House Sign Cut Types Explained: In-depth, Raised, Flush & No Base -
Same colour, better finish: Grey Matte
We’ve made a small but deliberate change to our custom laser-cut signs.
Our Silver (Glossy) finish is being replaced by Grey (Matte) — a matte finish we think looks better and stays cleaner in everyday use.
Why we made the change
- Less glare. Matte cuts reflections, so your address stays easy to read in direct sun.
- More forgiving. Fingerprints and everyday surface marks are far less noticeable than on a glossy face.
- A cleaner look. The matte finish sits more naturally against modern homes, fences and letterboxes.
We’ve also renamed it from Silver to Grey — simply because “Grey” is a more accurate description of the colour.
What this means for you
We’ve got the last of the previous glossy finish selling through now. Once it’s gone, every new order ships in the new Grey (Matte) finish — with no change to price, sizing or lead time.
